ANNOUNCING NEIGHBORWORKS® BOISE'S EXPANDED HOME REPAIR PROGRAM New program will provide critical repairs for eligible low- to moderate-income homeowners in partnership with D.L. Evans Bank and FHLB Des Moines |
In alignment with our mission to develop innovative housing solutions for underserved populations through strategic partnerships that help build stronger communities, we are proud to announce the NeighborWorks® Boise Home Repair Program.
While NeighborWorks® Boise has long supported home repairs in Meridian, this new program allows us to expand our reach and impact more households across the Treasure Valley. This important initiative was developed in partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines through its Competitive Affordable Housing Program, and in collaboration with D.L. Evans Bank. The program is sponsored by NeighborWorks® Boise (NWB).
Through this program, qualified homeowners can receive essential repairs or rehabilitation work—improvements that protect their safety, preserve their housing, and enhance overall well-being. Eligibility Requirements*: - Home must be in Ada or Canyon County
- Owner-occupied as primary residence
- Household income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI)
-
Repair needs must fall within eligible scope and cost
- Completion of a one-hour session with a HUD-certified housing counselor

STUNNING REHABILITATED HOME SOLD thanks to a gift that preserves a father's legacy |
|
|
Did you know that NeighborWorks® Boise rehabilitates homes and sells them at affordable prices to neighbors in need? Recently, we acquired a mobile home in the Mellodee Thornton Mobile Home Park from a grieving daughter who had just lost her father. In a heartfelt gesture honoring her father’s legacy, she chose to sell the home to NeighborWorks® Boise under market value, recognizing the positive impact it could have on another family’s life. This act of generosity allowed us to fully rehabilitate the home and offer it at an affordable price to a family earning less than 80% of the area median income.
The rehabilitated home is stunning, and is another example of one of the many ways NeighborWorks® Boise is expanding access to safe, stable housing and helping preserve affordability in our community.

THANK YOU SPONSORS & VOLUNTEERS for a successful 43rd Annual NeighborWorks® Boise's Paint The Town™! |
We wanted to thank the generous sponsors of NeighborWorks® Boise's 43rd Annual Paint The Town™ once more. Your support helped us bring color, care, and community to our neighbors’ homes, with an emphasis this year on our honored veterans.
Thanks to YOU, volunteers transformed lives with a few coats of paint and a whole lot of heart. Together, we demonstrated the true meaning of community. This year, volunteers came together to paint 23 homes for neighbors in need—including 7 veterans. We're especially grateful for the opportunity to give back to those who have served our country. Before the painting could begin, 6 of those homes needed critical repairs. Thanks to the dedication of our partners at Treasure Valley Habitat for Humanity, those repairs were completed just in time for Paint The Town™!
