 Avenues for Hope Poem

'Twas the season of giving, when all through the town,
The snow gently fell, soft blankets of down.
The lights on the houses were twinkling with care,
But some folks were wishing for homes to be there.

For not every family had a place to call "mine,"
A warm little haven, their own cozy shrine.
At NeighborWorks® Boise, we heard their sweet plea,
And rolled up our sleeves, as busy as can be.

With hammers and blueprints, we crafted a plan,
Building new homes with each willing hand.
Affordable options, a roof that won’t break,
Dreams coming true with each home that we make.

But housing’s more than the walls and the floor,
It’s laughter and love, and a wreath on the door.
A kitchen for baking, a table for cheer,
A space to make memories year after year.

So, here’s to the season of hope and of heart,
Of neighbors and friends, all doing their part.
With every new family we help to move in,
The spirit of housing feels like a win-win.
