Garden Boxes and Flower Beds

One of the many perks of a NeighborWorks® Boise’s Pocket Neighborhood™ is the community Garden Boxes and Flower Beds.

NWB Pocket Neighborhoods™ are designed to bring the block of neighbors closer together, with the houses facing each other with a courtyard as their shared front lawn. This design encourages families, kids, and friends to get to know one another.

The Garden Boxes are put together by neighbors in each neighborhood. The community comes together to plant and care for tomatoes, squash, zucchini, pumpkins, carrots, and more! Any and all veggies are available to those living in the Pocket Neighborhood™.

Neighborhoods that have been established for a few years, have some of the most beautiful flower beds, adding beauty and color to the homes. These flowers are well taken care of by their owners and given the best conditions to grow as possible from day one with great shading, a watering system, and sun access.
